While any injury can occur playing baseball, injuries to the shoulder and elbow are the most common. This is especially true in pitchers.
Problems with the rotator cuff include bursitis, tendonitis, impingement syndrome, internal impingement, and tears. Biceps tendonitis is also common among throwing athletes.
The elbow is another area that is often injured by baseball players and other throwing athletes. This often involves the ulnar collateral ligament of the elbow, but biceps tendonitis or other tendonitis of the elbow may occur as well.
