Dr. Christina Kabbash M.D., Ph.D., M.P.H., is an orthopedic surgeon with advanced fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Orthopedic Surgery. She currently is a member of the International Foot and Ankle Expert Group, a prestigious think tank for AO, the worldwide teaching organization for Orthopedic Surgery. She is involved in teaching Master’s level Foot and Ankle courses for practicing Orthopedic surgeons in Davos, Switzerland and other locations. She served on the AO Foot and Ankle Education Taskforce which revamped the way Orthopedic surgery courses are taught worldwide.
Dr. Kabbash graduated from Wellesley College and attended medical school at Columbia University where she also holds a Ph.D.in Cellular, Molecular, and Biophysical Studies, and a Masters in Public Health in Tropical Disease. Her doctoral research at Columbia resulted in three patents. She went on to complete her Orthopedic Surgery Residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center, N.Y.C. where she served as Chief Resident, followed by a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at St. Vincent’s Medical Center, N.Y.C.
From 2010-2017, she served as community faculty for the UCONN Orthopedic Surgery Residency program at St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT. She is currently practicing at Physician’s Regional Hospital in Naples, FL where she chairs the Quality Committee for the Physicians Regional Medical Group. She is board certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery, and a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society.
Dr. Kabbash was a founding member of the Connecticut Sports Medicine Institute at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT, and is currently the lead physician for the Minto U.S. Open Pickleball Championships. She is an avid triathlete and an Ironman finisher.
